This Cookie Notice explains the cookies and similar technologies — such as pixels, tags, local storage, and click identifiers — that vitaharmony24.com may use, what each one does, and how you control them. It should be read with our Privacy Notice and forms part of our Terms of Use.
Only strictly necessary storage runs automatically. Every analytics and marketing technology on this site — including the Meta Pixel and UTMify — is held back until you actively consent, and starts working only from that moment. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through or the link in the footer of every page.
1. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a site asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between page views. Related technologies do similar jobs by different means:
- Local storage keeps a small value in your browser without sending it to a server with every request. We use it to remember your privacy choices.
- Pixels and tags are small pieces of code or an invisible image that report that a page was viewed or an action occurred.
- Click identifiers are parameters added to a link by an advertising platform (for example
fbclid) or by us (for example UTM parameters), which say which campaign or link brought you here.
Some of these are set by us (first-party) and some by a provider we work with (third-party). Some last only for the browsing session; others persist for a defined period.
2. The three categories we use
Everything on this site falls into one of three categories. Only the first is switched on without asking you.
| Category | Purpose | Runs without consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Delivering the site securely and remembering your privacy choices. | Yes — the site cannot work without it. |
| Analytics | Understanding in aggregate how the publication is used, so we can improve it. | No — consent required. |
| Marketing and attribution | Measuring advertising performance and attributing subscriptions to the right campaign. | No — consent required. |
3. Strictly necessary storage
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vitaharmony_cookie_preferences_v1 | VitaHarmony 24 (first party, local storage) | Records the choice you made in our cookie settings so we do not ask again on every page, and so optional technologies stay blocked unless you allowed them. | 180 days |
| Hosting and security cookies | Our hosting or content-delivery provider | Load balancing, protection against abuse, and delivery of the site. Set only where the provider requires it. | Session to 12 months |
These cannot be switched off through our settings because the site would not function or would not be able to remember that you declined the optional categories. You can still remove them through your browser, but doing so resets your privacy choices.
4. Analytics
Analytics technologies help us see, in aggregate, which articles readers reach and finish. We only use them after you consent, and we configure them to avoid collecting more than we need.
| Technology | Provider | What it records | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web analytics (if enabled) | The analytics provider we use at the time, named here before it is switched on | Pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and aggregated engagement. | Up to 24 months |
5. Marketing and attribution
We promote this publication through paid advertising. Marketing technologies tell us whether a campaign reached readers who found our work useful, and let advertising platforms measure and optimise delivery. They are the most privacy-relevant category on the site, so they are described here in detail.
| Technology | Provider and role | What it records | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Meta Pixel — _fbp | Meta Platforms, Inc. Acts as an independent or joint controller for its own advertising purposes. | A browser identifier used to connect a visit or subscription to a Meta advertising campaign, to measure conversions, and to build or exclude advertising audiences. | Up to 90 days from last update |
Meta click identifier — _fbc / fbclid | Meta Platforms, Inc. | The identifier attached to the link when you arrive from a Meta advertisement, so that visit can be attributed to that specific advertisement. | Up to 90 days from last update |
| UTMify | Attribution platform acting as our processor, on our instructions. | The campaign parameters in the link you arrived on (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, and any click identifier) together with the resulting event, so a subscription can be credited to the correct campaign. | Up to 12 months |
| Additional advertising pixels (if enabled) | The relevant advertising platform, named in this table before it is switched on. | Comparable page-view and conversion signals for that platform’s campaign measurement. | Set by the provider |
Where these technologies are active, they are supplied with information about your visit to a general wellness publication and the action you took, such as subscribing. We do not send health information, symptoms, diagnoses, or any other sensitive category of data to an advertising platform, and we do not use the subject of the article you read to infer a health condition about you. Meta processes data it receives under its own Privacy Policy; you can review and adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
6. How consent works here
- Blocked by default. Optional scripts are held on the page in an inert state and are only turned into live scripts once the matching consent exists. Declining means they never execute.
- A free choice. Rejecting optional technologies is as easy as accepting them, both are offered at the same level in the banner, and the site works fully either way. We do not use cookie walls.
- Granular. You can accept analytics without accepting marketing, or the reverse.
- Withdrawable. Withdrawing consent stops further collection immediately on your next page load. It does not undo processing that already lawfully took place, and it does not delete data already held by a provider — for that, use the provider’s own controls or contact us.
- Time-limited. We ask again after 180 days so that your choice stays current.
- Per browser and device. Because the record is stored locally, you will be asked again in a different browser, on a different device, or after clearing site data.
7. Managing your choices
Open here, or use the link in the footer of any page, to review the categories and switch each optional one on or off. Your new choice applies from that moment.
8. Browser and platform controls
Your browser gives you independent control. You can usually block or delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or browse in a private window from the privacy or site-settings section of your browser’s preferences. Blocking all cookies and storage may prevent the site from remembering that you declined optional technologies, in which case you will be asked again on each visit. Mobile operating systems also offer device-level advertising controls, such as limiting ad tracking or resetting the advertising identifier.
9. Industry opt-out tools
Independently of this site, you can use industry mechanisms to limit interest-based advertising:
- Digital Advertising Alliance (WebChoices)
- Network Advertising Initiative
- Your Online Choices (EU)
- Meta ad preferences
These are operated by third parties, and their availability and effect are outside our control.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is still no common industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not act on them. Where the law requires it, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we apply it to the marketing category.
11. Changes to this notice
If we add, replace, or remove a technology, we update the tables above before it goes live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again. The version identifier beside this notice tells you which edition you are reading.
12. Questions
Write to privacy@vitaharmony24.com if anything here is unclear or if you would like more detail about a specific technology.
The one thing to remember
Nothing optional runs on this site until you say yes, and one link in the footer lets you change your mind at any time.
